In the heart of Dubrovnik's harbour, the slightly elevated restaurant affords splendid views of the sea and marina. The exclusive terrace, which stretches along the medieval walls and St. John's fortress, provides a lovely setting for a summer dinner. Chef Marijo Curić, returning to his home town after significant experiences around Europe, holds true to expectations with technical and well-presented cuisine in which Mediterranean elements are enriched with Asian touches with a refined combination of French cooking techniques. Vacuum cooking, robata grilling, and well-mastered fermentations enrich each dish with a unique flavour. Two tasting menus are offered: one with the chef's iconic dishes and the other with the restaurant's classics. Try the snapper with beurre blanc, shellfish sauce and mussel and red shrimp cappuccino. The restaurant also boasts a superb wine cellar, with as many as 450 labels. The selection honours Croatia but is also open to the rest of the world, offering an excellent choice of international labels. The wine list is accompanied by customised wine pairings that may also include creative cocktails.
