Just steps away from the Split waterfront, the entire experience at Krug revolves around the kitchen, located at the center of the dining room and surrounded by an L-shaped counter table that allows guests to interact directly with the chefs. Each dish is presented by the cooks, who share its history and inspiration, thereby highlighting the identity of the place. The cuisine is contemporary, with a strong focus on the product and a deep connection to the local area, reinterpreted with creativity. Almost all the ingredients come from the sea or the surrounding hinterland, while the vegetables are sourced through close collaboration with local growers. Whenever possible, everything is prepared in-house: from the bread to the butter, and even fermented products. Fish and meat are aged in visible refrigerators placed directly in the dining room. A special mention goes to the sommelier, whose expertise is reflected in an extensive and well-curated wine list, perfectly complementing each course.
