Schlossberg

Schlossberg has been a culinary institution in the idyllic Murg Valley for decades. The chic and stylish interior incorporates modern lines, pale wood and soothing grey and beige hues, and a smattering of designer features. Efficient father-and-son team Jörg and Nico Sackmann serve up classic cuisine as well as modern culinary creations that draw on international influences and ingredients, and range from pared down to complex. The "Schlossberg" set menu comprises five to eight courses, for instance a "squid cocktail" of flying squid, cuttlefish and calamari or "Challans duck, loquat, celery, French toast". They also propose the option of a five- to seven-course vegetarian set menu. For overnight stays, Hotel Sackmann has lovely guestrooms and spa facilities.
