The Riva hotel's fine dining restaurant boasts a prime waterfront location, but it captures hearts first and foremost with its classic-inspired cuisine under the culinary direction of Dirk Hoberg. This spruce Jugendstil villa dating from 1909 provides the setting in which to sample a tasting menu composed of refined and meticulously crafted dishes, complete with sauces inspired by the classics of French cuisine – the Château Chalon sauce, for example, is exquisite! The chefs serve one or two courses themselves. The extensive wine list features a particularly good selection of regional labels and sparkling wines, and the sommelier's recommendations are spot on. Tip: Book the "Kitchen Table" right by the pass to the open kitchen. Up to four diners can sit here with a clear view of the chefs at work.
