It's quite something to see the two-man team of Janice and Heiko Lacher at work in their restaurant! In the open kitchen, chef-patron Heiko expertly puts together his ambitious, creative set menu "Mit Leib und Seele" ("With Heart and Soul"), which comprises seven courses as well as aperitifs, bread, and petits fours – also available in a shortened form. Their motto "Weltoffen – Naturbezogen" ("Open to the world – rooted in nature") is reflected in dishes such as saddle of local grass-fed lamb, roasted until perfectly pink and served with a hot and spicy chipotle lamb jus, smooth sheep's milk polenta, and an elegant little scoop of chopped vintage sardine with preserved lemon and garlic. Tip: Oysters and caviar are available as optional additions to the set menu. Your charming and wonderfully organised hostess attends to guests while also assisting her husband putting the final touches on the dishes. All to be enjoyed in a sleek, modern space that feels appealingly airy thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows. The number of seats is limited, making for an appealingly private atmosphere. N.B.
