Dating back to 1647, this lovely building on Marktplatz is the second oldest in Waiblingen and was once a pharmacy. Today, chic and trendy decor, as well as a lively atmosphere make for an appealing contrast with the historical setting. Nab a seat at the counter for a front-row view into the glass-paned kitchen, where chef-patron Bernd Bachofer conjures up dishes that are cosmopolitan, exciting and meticulously prepared using first-rate ingredients – for instance the perfectly cooked and flamed black cod fillet marinated in miso, or the highly aromatic and tender caramelised suckling pig belly. For the set menu, you can choose to have up to nine courses, plus optional extras – be sure to allow plenty of time! Vegetarian version available.
