In beautiful Bressanone, the historic Hotel Elephant, housed in a building whose oldest section dates back to the late 15th century, is one of the city’s true icons. Managed by the same family since 1773, it is now in the hands of the eighth generation. In the intimate and exquisitely elegant dining room, with just four tables and the watchful eyes of the twelve apostles that, in the form of statuettes, observe you from the walls, Chef Mathias Bachmann presents a unique, extensive, and exclusive tasting menu. Drawing ingredients and techniques from around the world, with a special fondness for Japan, he reinterprets them with contemporary flair. Service is entrusted to Michael and Eleonora, whose expertise and innate warmth will also delight you with the incredible tale of the elephant that once passed through the city. In the warm season, aperitifs are served in the pleasant garden; during the colder months or inclement weather, they are offered in the elegant lounge, also on the first floor, just like the dining room.
