Partners Oscar de Matos and Nadine Baumgartner are back in Lucerne, in a perfect location in the old town, right on the River Reuss. Diners can look forward to a pleasingly relaxed, tasteful and modern bistro atmosphere. Using top-quality ingredients, the open kitchen produces bold, creative dishes that are out of the ordinary and characterised by an intense interplay of acidity and contrasts, for example, "yellowtail, plum, elderflower" and "bonito escabeche, pico de gallo, fig leaf". In their own words: "unusual, but down-to-earth and with a pinch of punk" is how they aptly describe themselves. There is a four- or six-course set menu – the opening gambit in the form of a selection of tapas reflecting the chef's roots gets things off to a fantastic start. Hostess Nadine Baumgartner impresses – as we have come to expect – with her charm, expertise and a personal touch. Right next door is a café that turns into a wine bar in the evening, so it's worth arriving a little earlier for an aperitif! Tip: Motorists can park at Parkhaus Kesselturm just a short distance away.
